Title One Reading and Math
Hello Sedgwick Cardinals! I am Diane Davison, the Activities Director for Sedgwick Public Schools. This is my first year as Activities Director, so I hope everyone can be patient and supportive as we navigate through this first year! I also teach in the Title One classroom, so I get the best of both worlds of education. Let me give you a little more information about myself.
My husband, Paul, is the Head of Maintenance for our district, and graduated from SHS. I have taught for Sedgwick Schools for 32 years and we have raised 2 daughters as Cardinals. Katie now works for the district as a first grade teacher, and Konner will graduate from K-State in December. Our Cardinal Pride extends back to the 1930s, when the Davison family moved to Sedgwick and started our strong Sedgwick Cardinal tradition!
I taught second grade for 15 years. Since then, I have taught 6th grade English, fifth grade, and this is my second tenure as the Title One coordinator and teacher. Ive enjoyed each of these positions immensely, as each one presented new experiences and each day helped me grow professionally. I wouldnt trade my job or experiences for anything!
My family has a strong Cardinal tradition and lots of Sedgwick Pride. Ive worn many hats for the district and am very excited for the new challenges that Activities Director presents for me, and I always love working with my students in the Elementary building. I look forward to my new task and know that with communication, support, and teamwork, we can make great things happen.
